It is one of the most beautiful beaches of northwestern Corfu. It has been awarded with the Blue Flag from the European Union. It is ideal for those seeking for a quiet and a relatively isolated beach to relax. Characteristic of this beach is the blond shore and shallow waters. The small settlement stretches around the cove and has glorious view. Close to it are the villages Afionas, Prinilas, Agros and Kastellani that distinguish for their traditional architecture and the wonderful combination of green nature with dreamy shores.

The cove of Agios Stefanos is in northeastern part of Corfu, about 35km from the city in a beautiful location with dense vegetation. Between the little port of Kouloura and the beach of Kassiope, the cove of Agios Stefanos distinguishes for its untouched beauty. Here you will enjoy an idyllic scenery, you will eat fresh fish in taverns around the port and you of course you will swim in its crystal waters.

The coastal settlement of Arillas is located in the northwestern part of Corfu 38km from the city. It distinguishes for its extraordinary beach that has been awarded with the Blue Flag. It is a long beach with sand that hasn’t been glutted with tourists and keeps its natural beauties.

Another tourist resort of Corfu, located in the southwestern part of the island, 37km from the city, and a pole of attraction for tourists. The settlement of Acharavi is built in a lowland, characterized by dense vegetation. Very impressive is the extend beach of Acharavi, one of the biggest in Corfu. It has a length of more than 80km(!) while its shallow waters are ideal for small children. It is a highly organized beach equipped with the appropriate foundation for water sports and games.

If you are fond of sight-seeing and a lover of nature you can visit many villages such as the old Perithia, Sinies, Episkepsi and the remains of the Roman Spa. You will see the natural sites such as Lagoon Antinioti and the valley of Nimfon where the famous coum kouat is being cultivated.

 

In north Corfu, 37km from the city we meet Kassiopi. It is the domicile of the homonym municipality and the biggest village in north Corfu.
Until recently Kassiopi was known as graphic fish village with a beautiful beach. But in the last years it is developing with exponential rhythms in a modern tourist resort. There are many hotels and rooms to let in Kassiopi that offer all sort of comforts. Kassiopi also has a lot of bars and clubs that attract young people and make it a cosmopolitan summer resort.
The beach of Kassiopi and the, awarded with the Blue Flag, beach of Klamiona distinguish for their good organization. There, you have the opportunity to try water sports.
The region apart from a vivid nonce, has a rich historic past. It flourished during Roman times and according to the tradition the emperor Neron visited it. Among historic monuments distinguish the remains of the castle built during the period of Andigavnon dominance(1267-1836)which was considered one of the most strong castles of the corfiat countryside.
One of the most important religious monuments of Corfu is the church of Panagia Kassiopitra said to be built on the remains of the old temple of Kassiopos Zeus. The church was built during the first years of Christianity, was ruined by Turkish and rebuilt by Venetian

 

Palaiokastritsa (Greek: Παλαιοκαστρίτσα meaning Old Castle place,'= referring to nearby Angelokastro) is a municipality in the Corfu Prefecture, Greece. It has a land area of 48.379 km² and a population of 4,395 (2001 census) and is located on the west coast of Corfu just south of Angelokastro. The seat of the municipality is the town of Lakones (pop. 502). The municipality's largest towns are Liapádes (pop. 958), Doukádes (678), Skriperó (642), and Lákones.

 

Sidari is definitely the best spot of north Corfu and an index mark for every visitor. It is located 32km from the city. It is one of the most popular summer resorts of Ionian Sea and has international fame due to “Canal d’Amour” or “the Canal of Love”. It is a beach of unique beauty. White carven rocks and crystal blue waters combine an exotic scenery. And not just that. A cluster of sandy rocks rise above the sea and, due to their abrasion with waves, create peculiar shapes. Among them you can see an underground path, where you can walk in or rest from swimming. Interesting is the bottom of the sea with many marine caves that are a pole of attraction for the loves of diving.
Apart from the Canal or Canal of Love in Sidari, you can swim in the small ports and the graphic coves that are created among the carved rocks and make you think you’re in a private beach.
Sidari is one of the first regions in Corfu that had tourist growth. Today in that green village you can find many hotels and rooms to let. As for entertainment the options are many. It is estimated that every year more than 5.000 tourists visit Sidari, most of whom are from Great Britain.
In Sidari have been found the remains of a settlement from the Neolithic Age dated from 3000BC. According to the elements it’s the most ancient settlement in the island.

 

One of the most beautiful and cosmopolitan north beaches in Corfu. Its shore is the natural extent of Aharavi. The organized beach of Aharavi provides all modern comforts and the possibility for water sports. The clear blue waters and the endless golden beach create a dreamy scenery. The small settlement of Roda has turned into a summer resort with high quality tourist foundations that satisfy even the most demanding visitors.
From Roda you can visit the graphic village of Nimfes and see the small waterfalls in "Akoli".
